I've helped fund 10 hours of a research assistant’s time to work on life saving cancer research.
Dun 54 holes ok
Monday 6am start at Castlecove Golf Course with Westpac One Woods group of 8 golf/fundraisers.
Weather was a favourable max of 23 and cloudy.
Did 27 holes before a break with a sausage in a roll and a beer.
Another 9 holes and a beer mini break.
Ploughed through last 18 to down clubs by 15:20. 54 holes - yay!
Went through 5 shirts (I perspire much); 2 wide brim hats; 3 Gatorades ; 3 waters ; 1 fancy protein drink ; 5 snack bars.
Only lost one ball that ricocheted off a tree into someone’s house (sorry).
18 hole strokes of :-
1st 85 (4 in one bunker)
2nd 75 - a tidy 18
3rd 82 - happy to get it dun.
Thanks to Steve Hume and Bernard for inviting me. Thanks to Rod, Hoody and Guy for having to play 54 holes with me.
Many thanks for fundraising assistance.
I'm taking on Cancer Council's The Longest Day...
...the ultimate golf challenge to complete four rounds of golf in one day!
I'll be testing my skill, strength, and stamina to raise funds for life saving cancer research.
1 in 2 Australians will be affected by cancer by the age of 85, I want to help change this by making every hole count!
Please sponsor me today, because tackling cancer takes all of us.
Together, let's tee off for a cancer free future.
