I've helped fund 6 hours of a research assistant’s time to work on life saving cancer research.
I'm taking on Cancer Council's The Longest Day...
Those who know me well, will know that I love golf, & also, that in July 2019, I began my cancer treatment, fortunately, due to the research by The Cancer Council, I was able to enter a trial drug program which cost me little, but over the 18 month treatment period, cost in the region of $180,000. I’ll never be able to repay the financial debt, but, I can repay them by fundraising & supporting The Cancer Council’s “The Ultimate Golf Challenge” to complete 36 holes of golf in one day!
I'll be testing my skill, strength, and stamina to raise funds for life saving cancer research.
You may not be aware, but 1 in 2 Australians will be affected by cancer by the age of 85. I want to help change this by making every hole count!
Please sponsor me today, because tackling cancer takes all of us.
Together, let's tee off for a cancer free future.
I have pledged to raise at least $500. If everyone in my network of friends were to donate $1 for every hole each would donate $36 needing only 13 contacts to do this. I have however, many many more friends & relatives than that, so lets see how much I can raise for this great cause that literally saved my life.
Hope you have plenty of bodies in your round. Good luck your golfing wife.
