I've helped fund 50 hours of a research assistant’s time to work on life saving cancer research.
I'm taking on Cancer Council's The Longest Day...
...the ultimate golf challenge to complete four rounds of golf in one day!
I'll be testing my skill (very limited), Injuries (plentiful) and willpower (stubbornness).
All rounds will be walked and the way I play golf that will total well over 40km on the day. Some may say that it is not a good idea and I would normally agree with them. However, I have had way too many family and friends go thru various forms/stages of treatment for cancer this year and if this is a small way that I can help with funding then I am happy to put up with a bit of discomfort.
Not being able to get out of bed after for a week is nothing compared to what some people I know have or are going thru.
