I've helped fund 2 hours of a research assistant’s time to work on life saving cancer research.
I'm taking on Cancer Council's The Longest Day...
for year #2!
Last year, in 33 degree heat, we walked (& golfed) through over 50k steps, 41kms and 72 holes for a great cause, and we're back again!
As a 16 year old back in 2014, I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. Fast forward 10 years, and I am 7 years Chemo free, healthy, happy and lucky enough to have a perfect nearly 4 year old Daughter.
None of this would be possible without the research and medical advancements that come from fundraising events such as this, so, despite being a horrible golfer, I can't wait to get out there for year 2 and do my part to give back and help those who unfortunately are impacted by cancer.
With 5 of my mates, Jack, Phil, Shaun, Ryan & Brad, we'll be slogging it out on the 9th of November, 2024 at the Melton Valley Golf Club, and any donations, or even shares would be hugely appreciated!
