I've helped fund 16 hours of a research assistant’s time to work on life saving cancer research.
I'm taking on Cancer Council's The Longest Day...
1 in 2 Australians will be affected by cancer by the age of 85, I want to help change this by making every hole count!
One of these 2 was my Pa and this year he lost his fight to cancer. His strength and unwavering determination he showed right up until the end is something that inspires me to make the most of every day. Pa loved golf when he was young and was quite handy, often shooting in the 70’s. To be able to go out there and raise a bit of money for the cancer council doing something he loved means a lot.
Andy and I will be playing 4 rounds of golf which is 72 holes on November 24th at Naracoorte golf course which is no small feat but something we are extremely excited to take part in. By doing this challenge I feel it’s my way to give back to the cancer council to help others facing similar battles. And together we can support those in need.
