I've helped fund 6 hours of a research assistant’s time to work on life saving cancer research.
I'm taking on Cancer Council's The Longest Day...
4 rounds of golf in one day! A usual round lasts around 4 hours, and I’m pretty buggered after one half the time!
I'll be testing my skill, strength, and stamina to raise funds for life saving cancer research.
1 in 2 Australians will be affected by cancer by the age of 85, I want to help change this by making every hole count!
I know myself and others have asked for a lot in recent times and the cost of living affects us all. I feel us as young adults don’t donate nearly as often or as much as we should to causes like this.
All I’m asking is for a donation of the price of a drink you would buy yourself or for a friend on a night out. This is how I justify a lot of things I do. Maybe this puts it into perspective for others
Tackling cancer takes all of us.
I will be tackling this challenge with my team Le Paddy Outback consisting of Cillian, Pierre, and Tom. Together we will set donation goals both for the team and individually to make the day a bit interesting for both us and the people who donate.
My first goal is $100 to toughen up and NOT hire an electric buggy. I’ll have to walk the whole day, who knows how long that is, over 5kms per game or so
Together, let's tee off for a cancer free future.
6 pars 1 birdie for $200. Great work!
